'YMCA' Writer Bans Song from Clippers' Games

According to TMZ.com, Victor Willis, who owns the copyright on the song “Y.M.C.A.,” made famous by the Village People, has banned the song from being played at Los Angeles Clippers games because he is irate at Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling’s allegedly racist remarks.

Willis was quoted saying, “Sterling, you’re banned from playing ‘Y.M.C.A.’ or any of my music @LAClippers games.  And I mean it!” A representative for Willis said that the singer will send an official document to Sterling on Monday notifying him of the ban.
