Pelosi Asks Friend And Business Associate To Testify In Congress, Doesn't Disclose Relationship

When Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House, she called an expert to testify on how to get the economy moving again, but neglected to tell anyone that the so-called expert was not only her husband’s business partner, but also her son’s boss. The friend, William Hambrecht, has helped the Pelosis earn their wealth over the years.

Peter Schweizer, author of “Throw Them All Out,” said that when researching his book, he was surprised by the fact that Pelosi didn’t disclose what appeared to be such a clear conflict of interest. “If you were to do this in a corporate environment or in the executive branch, you’d have huge ethical problems,” said Schweizer.
