MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry said that “a lot of people have wanted” a white heavyweight champion “for a long time” on Saturday.
In a discussion on the upcoming Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Harris-Perry asked, “the heavyweight champion is white, and has been for a long time. And a lot of people have wanted that for a long time, Wes. How is he not like a big deal?”
