Report: Trump’s Chicago Lawyer a Powerful Democrat, Saves Him $11.7 Million

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, with the help of Ald. Edward M. Burke’s law firm, cut his property taxes by a reported 39 percent, saving nearly $11.7 million dollars over the span of seven years, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Burke reportedly is a “powerful” member of the Democratic Party in Chicago’s Cook County. Trump retained the services of Burke’s firm in 2006 to protect his real estate interests in Chicago, namely the Trump International Hotel & Tower.
