Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton cited Alexander Hamilton to bolster her statement that America needs to “work together.”

Clinton tweeted Wednesday about Hamilton’s contentious relationship with Thomas Jefferson. But Clinton made no mention of the fact that Hamilton ended up getting killed in a famous pistol duel with Vice President Aaron Burr because of their political disagreements.

It is unclear if Clinton or her campaign is aware of the circumstances surrounding Hamilton’s death.
