Prior to Monday’s “March For Jobs” on Washington, Black American Leadership Alliance founder Leah Durant spoke to me and co-host Brian Wilson on “Mornings on the Mall” on WMAL in Washington DC. I asked Durant if there would be any political fallout for Republicans from the Latino community for killing the “Gang of Eight” legislation. She said unemployment is just as bad in the Latino community as it is in the African-American community and Black Americans are just as concerned with how the legislation will harm the employment situation as Latinos.
