On Tuesday, as the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on whether the Constitution of the United States mandates that states accept legally sponsored same-sex marriage, 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton changed her avatar on Twitter from her normal logo to a rainbow logo.

On Saturday, The New York Times ran a headline with regard to a violent incident in Israel: “Israeli Police Officers Kill Two Palestinian Men.”

On Sunday, HBO’s Girls creator and star Lena Dunham spoke at Variety’s Power of Women luncheon, accepting an award from Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS), an organization that fights human trafficking.

Hillary Clinton and her team seem to expect that the media world will resonate to them the same way they did in the 1990s. Matt Drudge changed the coverage of the Clintons by destroying the cozy relationship between the mainstream media, who wanted to kill the Lewinsky story, and the reader; now media are punished for failures to report. Should the media downplay this scandal, the American people will chalk it up to media bias, rather than the notion that there is no scandal to investigate.

Friday marked the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and President Obama, despite his prior promises to recognize the Armenian Genocide, failed to do so for the seventh straight year.

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton’s campaign announced the true launch of her campaign: a high-profile move into all 50 states in a bid to turn purple states blue and red states purple.

The vast right-wing conspiracy to get Hillary Clinton has apparently evolved to include a huge bevy of formerly left-wing and left-center sources who see Schweizer’s book as a legitimate derailing force for Hillary’s campaign.

On Sunday, the world watched in horror as a migrant ship from Libya carrying 950 people sank in the Mediterranean, with photographs of floating bodies making their way across the wires.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign to transform from a wooden political manipulator with a long list of lies into a real human candidate continued apace on Thursday. The media Blue Fairy has descended from the heavens, declaring that Hillary’s new, fun, spontaneous campaign has shown us all the true woman who exists beneath our sexist preconceptions.

On Wednesday, Republicans declared victory over President Obama after passing a bipartisan bill designed to stifle Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran. There’s only one problem: the bill doesn’t stop Obama in any way. In fact, it does the opposite, by granting congressional Democrats an easy excuse for voting to allow Obama to end the sanctions against Iran without political consequence.

Wednesday marks Tax Day in the United States, the day when Americans are obligated to turn in their taxes to the Internal Revenue Service. Normally, you’d expect those who actually, you know, pay taxes to complain about the government robbing them of their livelihood to pay for programs and projects from which they will never benefit. But not anymore.

On Monday, German novelist, Nobel Prize winner, and former Waffen-SS Nazi Günter Grass died in Lubeck, Germany, at the age of 87. The press mourned his passing.

Gov. Jerry Brown of California is fired up about nailing his citizens to the wall, should they dare to use more than their allotted amount of water. On Sunday, Brown said that those who did not take shorter showers would be punished with fines of up to $500, in order to cut urban water use 25 percent; now, according to CBS News, water authorities will use “smart meters” to monitor water use and update them for purposes of fines.

The Republican Party is supposedly in the midst of a so-called libertarian moment, with more and more young conservatives supposedly embracing a smaller vision of government, including a government that does not involve itself in issues like pot and same-sex marriage.

On Thursday, Indiana Republicans in the state legislature caved to pressure from the left regarding the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which simply preserved the right of religious people to act according to their rights in their businesses, so long as those principles did not conflict with a “compelling state interest.”

The tolerant left has now decided that anybody who believes in freedom of religion ought to be boycotted. CEOs and government leaders are threatening to boycott the state of Indiana–and not just governmental entities in Indiana, but private businesses in Indiana that have never discriminated against anyone homosexual, let alone same-sex weddings. But these same CEOs and government leaders will happily do business with some of the worst regimes on earth–regimes that do not merely recognize the right of private businessowners to do business with the clients they choose, but that sponsor the state-sanctioned execution of homosexuals.

Gay activists and their leftist allies told us decades ago that same-sex marriage wasn’t on the agenda. All homosexuals wanted was the benefits of marriage, but not the title. That, of course, was a lie.

In the wake of the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the media have been stacking myth upon myth in order to drive the narrative that right-wingers desperately want to harm gays and lesbians.

On Wednesday, the government of Saudi Arabia launched airstrikes against Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, which has now collapsed into civil war.
