Poll: Donald Trump Hit Top Two Issues for Voters During Inaugural Address

President Donald Trump’s Inaugural address pleased voters on Friday, as he discussed the two most important issues to voters, according to a new poll.

A Morning Consult/POLITICO poll revealed 75 percent voters wanted Trump to discuss keeping manufacturing jobs in America and bringing jobs back from overseas during his Inaugural address, while 74 percent wanted him to discuss healing the country after the election.

Pleasing voters, Trump discussed both issues.

“When America is united, America is totally unstoppable,” he said, speaking about unity throughout his speech. “A new national pride will stir our souls, lift our sights, and heal our divisions.”

“For many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry,” Trump stated during his address.

He continued:

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores, with not even a thought about the millions upon millions of American workers left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed across the entire world.

But that is the past. And now we are looking only to the future.

However, 62 percent of voters wanted Trump to mention the Supreme Court and 59 percent wanted to hear about replacing the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Trump failed to mention either the Supreme Court or repealing President Obama’s signature healthcare law.
