Roughly a month after the last film in the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, hit home video shelves the celebrity couple has called it quits.
The couple – who reportedly broke up briefly in December after Kristen’s summer fling with married director Rupert Sanders was revealed – are believed to have now called time on their relationship.
The duo tried to downplay their romance through much of the franchise’s publicity efforts, but it remained arguably the film industry’s worst-kept secret. Said denial only made the tabloids hungrier for relationship details, helping to promote an already profitable franchise. When Stewart cheated on her on and off-screen beau it became clear their romance was real.
The Twilight franchise is history, and the buzz surrounding the couple’s courtship can no loner pique interest in future installments.
