LOS ANGELES, Sept. 6 (UPI) — A.J. McLean and wife Rochelle McLean have a new baby on the way.
The 38-year-old Backstreet Boys singer and 34-year-old makeup artist announced on Labor Day that Rochelle is pregnant and expecting their second child.
“So the Mclean family wil be expecting a new addition to the family next spring!! #laborday! Ha get it ‘labor’ day! I’m a goof!” McLean wrote on Instagram. “We’re so excited.”
“Cats out of the bag! Couldn’t be more excited to add another little to our family! Baby McLean #2 spring 2017!” Rochelle added on her own account.
McLean and Rochelle married in Beverly Hills, Calif., in 2011 and welcomed their first child, daughter Ava Jaymes, the next year. The singer had told People in January that he and his wife were hoping for another child.
“Mommy and Daddy are trying to figure out when we get Mommy, Daddy time. We are talking about [baby] number two so it’s trying to figure out when and where!” he said.
“Whatever our next child is, boy or girl, you would think that, ‘Oh, I did it once, I’ve got it.’ No. It’s hard,” the star predicted. “It’ll make it easier, but it’s still going to be a brand new learning process.”
McLean last released In a World Like This with the Backstreet Boys in 2013, and will debut his second solo album, Naked, on Friday. The record includes the single “Live Together.”
