LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) — Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere will likely return for Nashville Season 5.

News outlets reported this week that Britton and Panettiere, who play Rayna Jaymes and Juliette Barnes, respectively, are poised to reprise their roles in the musical drama’s fifth season.

Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella and Chris Carmack are also slated to return. Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples won’t return as series regulars, but may appear in “a few select episodes,” according to Variety.

The Hollywood Reporter said Nashville, which is moving from ABC to CMT, will have a 22-episode fifth season. CMT picked up the series this month after ABC canceled the drama in May.

Panettiere had announced her return to treatment for postpartum depression the day of the show’s cancellation. The actress had temporarily left the series in Season 4 to seek treatment.

“The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life,” she tweeted May 12. “Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life.”

Nashville Season 5 has yet to set a premiere date.
