Lea Michele shares sweet message for late Cory Monteith’s birthday

NEW YORK, May 12 (UPI) — On the late Cory Monteith’s would-be 33rd birthday, then-girlfriend and Glee co-star Lea Michele shared a heartfelt message on Twitter commemorating the actor.

“I know you’re serenading everyone right now.. We love you Cory! Happy Birthday..” she wrote Monday alongside a photo of a smiling Monteith behind a drum set.

Monteith died from a drug overdose July 13, 2013 at the age of 31. At the time, he and Michele were in a romantic relationship and working together on Glee.

Last summer, Michele shared a similar post on her late boyfriend’s birthday and on the first anniversary of his death.
