Los Angeles (AFP) – French center Ian Mahinmi scored 22 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and handed out five assists on Saturday to help the Indiana Pacers to a 100-83 series-tying win over Toronto in the NBA playoffs.

George Hill added 22 points for the Pacers in the win on their home floor in Indianapolis, which knotted the best-of-seven first-round Eastern Conference series at two games apiece.

Solomon Hill’s three-pointer with 3:19 to play gave the Pacers a comfortable 93-74 lead over a Toronto team that struggled with turnovers and poor shooting.

Paul George added 19 points for Indiana, who never trailed in the contest.

Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas led the Raptors with 16 points.

DeMarre Caroll and Kyle Lowry each scored 12 and Norman Powell added 10 for the Raptors, the second seeds behind Cleveland in the East.

But Toronto coughed up 19 turnovers, converted by the Pacers into 25 points.

Going into the final period the Pacers were shooting 39.3 percent — and they finished the game having connected on 36.5 percent of their shots from the field.

Game five is on Tuesday in Toronto.
