Putin wins 75 percent of vote: partial results

Moscow (AFP) – Vladimir Putin has been re-elected as Russian president with 75 percent of the vote after half the votes were counted, partial results showed Sunday.

Putin’s nearest competitor, Communist Party candidate Pavel Grudinin, was on 13.2 percent, according to data from the central election commission.
