UN calls for end to Cuba embargo; US, Israel abstain from vote

United Nations (United States) (AFP) – The UN General Assembly on Wednesday adopted a resolution calling for an end to the US embargo against Cuba after the United States for the first time abstained from the vote.

It was the 25th time that the resolution presented by Cuba was passed, by a vote of 191 countries in favor in the 193-nation assembly. The United States and Israel abstained.
