London Colney (United Kingdom) (AFP) – Fit-again Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is not ready to feature against West Bromwich Albion on Thursday, manager Arsene Wenger said on Wednesday.

Wilshere, 24, has not played for Arsenal yet this season after fracturing his fibula in pre-season.

He has played three games for the club’s under-21 side this month, but Wenger said that the home game against West Brom had come too soon for the England international.

“He has had no setbacks and is getting better. He will be available after West Brom,” Wenger told a press conference at Arsenal’s London Colney training base.

“In every game he was sharper. He has a good fitness basis. He is available for selection.”

Wilshere had established himself as a first-choice pick for England manager Roy Hodgson prior to getting injured and Wenger believes that there is still a strong possibility of him playing at Euro 2016.

“He has played three games already,” said the Frenchman, whose side are fourth in the Premier League. “There is still two months before the Euros. He should be perfectly fit.”

Wenger also revealed that Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla has returned to training following a knee injury that has kept him out of action since November.
