62-Year-Old Steals Show on 'Idol' with 'Pants on the Ground' Audition

NYDN: A 62-year-old (he somehow missed the age cut-off of 28) who went by the name of “General” Larry Platt sang a fashion police song he called “Pants on the Ground.”

The lyrics (“Idol” producers had everyone singing them by the end) went “Pants on the ground, Pants on the ground, Lookin’ like a fool with your pants on the ground,” and had judge Randy Jackson vowing to run out and buy a belt by the time the “General” was finished.

“I have a horrible feeling,” Cowell quipped, “that song could actually be a hit.”
