Sunday at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant in Miami, Miss Ukraine, Diana Haruska, used the international attention to call out Russia for invading her country, saying, “Now we have a very difficult situation in our country, and right now, the very most important contribution is to direct all of our energies to support our army and our people.”
She added, “We have to restore schools. We have to restore kindergartens and orphanages.”
