McAuliffe: ‘Treasonous’ American Was ‘Directing the Russians’ in 2016 Election Hacking

Tuesday on Politico’s “Off Message” podcast, Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) said he believed “treasonous” Americans had to have helped the Russians who were actively “destabilizing our democracy” in the 2016 presidential election.

When asked if he thinks Americans were involved, McAuliffe said, “Somebody, I believe, had to give them a roadmap.”

He added, “I believe somewhere in this, somebody was directing the Russians on whose names to use.”
