Americans are increasingly concerned about the direction President Obama is taking the United States regarding its relationship with Iran, according to a new poll from CNN released today.

According to the poll, 60 percent of voters now disapprove of Obama’s direction, the highest disapproval rating for his presidency on this issue. Only 38 percent of voters approve of his strategy.

In April 2015, Obama had a split 48-48 approval rating on his handling of the U.S. relationship with Iran, according to the CNN poll.

Obama’s disapproval numbers have ticked up four points since July, now 51 percent, while 47 percent approve of the way he is handling his job as president.

The poll was based on interviews with 1,001 adult Americans with a 3 point margin of error.
