President Donald Trump accused Democrats and the establishment media of advocating for open borders with no concern about security.

“The Fake News is not mentioning the safety and security of our Country when talking about illegal immigration,” Trump wrote on Twitter, describing the current immigration laws as “the weakest and worst anywhere in the world.”

He expressed frustration with Democrats for refusing to vote on immigration reform legislation, such as the two House Republican bills that are scheduled for a vote on Thursday.

“It’s the Democrats fault, they won’t give us the votes needed to pass good immigration legislation,” Trump wrote. “They want open borders, which breeds horrible crime. Republicans want security. But I am working on something – it never ends!”
