A Boston University professor suggests taxing — as well as suspending the social media account — of those who spread “fake news.” The professor insists that he does not want to regulate free speech, but rather, punish people for the damage caused by their free speech.

Russia to Launch ‘Fake News’ Database

Russia’s media regulation agency Roskomnadzor announced Wednesday that it will create a public database of “fake news,” using new authority granted to the agency by President Vladimir Putin with a controversial Internet law signed at the beginning of the month.
