It’s beyond me how filibustering for late term abortion rights only a small minority of Americans support, can be seen as a heroic act, but then I don’t run in the same elite, intellectual circles New York Times editors do.
But Ted Cruz et al have been going strong for 20+ hours now, making it one of the longest filibusters in history. 

They are fighting to spare the nation of the ravages of socialized medicine. And as Chris Matthews acknowledges, they have a substantial number of Americans in their corner.
