A 65-year-old Florida woman stopped a half-naked would-be burglar last week, using an old baseball bat.
According to a CBS 4 report, Clarese Gainey caught a large man pulling on her car door handle and knocking on the window while only wearing his boxers just outside of her apartment in Gainesville, FL.
The man, Antonio Mosley, reportedly charged after Gainey when she went outside to confront him, but the former softball player fended him off.
“So I grabbed my bat and I braced myself … I eased the door open,” Gainey told CBS 4. “I tucked that bat and hit him upside the head.”
She recalled, “He was in his drawers. He didn’t have no shoes on, no shirt or nothing.”
Mosley, 5’6 and 300 pounds, fled and was later found by police clothed and with a knot on his head. He was booked in the Alachua County Jail on charges of burglary and drug possession.
“He better be glad I didn’t have a gun because I would have shot him,” Gainey stated, adding her bat is her gun.
