New Malaysian Jet Theory: Plane Downed by Stray Bullet

British pilot and author Sylvia Wrigley argues that a stray bullet may have brought down Malaysian Airlines Flight 370.

According to the Express, Wrigley uses her new book, The Mystery of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, to explain her theory of how a struggle in the cockpit–between the pilots and hijackers–may have resulted in a bullet being unknowingly fired through the body of the plane, thereby resulting in a slow decompression that no one–including the hijackers–detected.

Wrigley writes that the decompression would have taken place so slowly that the hijackers would not have “[put] on oxygen masks as the pressure reduced.” Thus leaving them vulnerable to losing consciousness with the rest of MH370’s passengers and crew.

“No trace” of the plane has been found since it left Malaysia for Beijing on March 8.
