Disney World misspelling directs travelers to ‘Epoct’

Sept. 28 (UPI) — Sharp-eyed visitors to Florida’s Walt Disney World discovered a road sign on park property contains a glaring typo: “Epcot” misspelled as “Epoct.”

Tim Smyth posted a photo to Facebook on Tuesday showing a sign on Western Way, near Buena Vista Boulevard, on the Orlando theme park’s property.

The sign declares that the left lane is the proper way to reach the Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs and “Epoct.”

The sign remained in place Wednesday afternoon.

Disney has not yet responded to requests for comment.

Epcot, the second theme park opened at Walt Disney World in 1982, stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.
