KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 28 (UPI) — Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware will have even more time to shine.
The team ruled out running back Jamaal Charles Friday for Sunday’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. That means Ware will have even more opportunities to add to his case as the Chiefs’ best back.
Ware is an RB1 this week against the Colts. He has scored touchdowns in his last two games. Ware has 492 yards and two scores on 95 carries this season. He also has 15 receptions for 285 yards and a score.
Even when Charles returns, expect Ware to remain the Chiefs’ top back. Charles, who is dealing with a knee injury, played just two snaps last week against the New Orleans Saints. Charles had been limited in practice all week.
