Mouse hitches ride on California deputy’s windshield

Feb. 13 (UPI) — A California sheriff’s office shared a photo of an adorable “attempted carjacking” by a tiny mouse spotted clinging to a deputy’s windshield.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that Deputy Brandon Dennington was on his way to the Golden State Warriors game on Sunday for a work assignment when he spotted the mouse on his windshield committing a suspected “attempted carjacking.”

“Further investigation revealed the suspect was likely a San Antonio Spurs fan trying to intimidate us,” the Facebook post said.

“Deputy Dennington was able to use de-escalation techniques and get the rabid fan off his car. Luckily, he was able to snap this photo of the elusive bandit. The suspect was last seen on foot running to a hiding spot. The suspect is 4 inches tall, weighing 1 ounce and wearing a gray and white fury coat. Thankfully, the Warriors won and Deputy Dennington got to the game on time.”
