Trudeau said nothing at G7 he hasn’t told Trump in person: office

La Malbaie (Canada) (AFP) – Justin Trudeau’s criticism of Donald Trump at a G7 press conference that prompted the US president to reject a joint summit statement was merely a reiteration of comments made in their own meetings, the Canadian premier’s office said Saturday.

“We are focused on everything we accomplished here at the #G7 summit,” said a statement from his office released on Twitter.

“The Prime Minister said nothing he hasn’t said before — both in public, and in private conversations with the President.”
