Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s lead over presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump narrowed to three points following the past two weeks of controversy surrounding the FBI investigation into her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

Although FBI Director James Comey suggested there shouldn’t be criminal charges prosecuted against Clinton, 82 percent of voters think the former secretary of state’s conduct was inappropriate and 56 percent of voters believe she should have been prosecuted, according to a new NBC News|SurveyMonkey poll.

“The email controversy seems to have a meaningful impact on voters’ impressions of the presumptive Democratic nominee as 66 percent of voters now say she is not honest and trustworthy — including a third of her own supporters,” NBC News notes.

The poll was conducted online with 7,869 registered voters nationwide from July 4 to July 10. It has a plus or minus 1.4 percent margin of error.
