Clinton Spox: Juanita Broaddrick ‘Addressed a Long Time Ago,’ Alicia Machado at Issue Now

Hillary Clinton’s Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri said Juanita Broaddrick’s allegation that President Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her was “addressed a long time ago” and that what is more important right now is that Donald Trump allegedly called former Miss Universe Alicia Machado “Miss Piggy.”

Breitbart News asked Palmieri if sexual assault victims have a right to be believed in the spin room after the second presidential debate in St. Louis, Missouri, as Broaddrick — among other sexual assault victims — sat in the audience during the debate.

“Sure,” Palmieri responded, adding that Trump needs to answer for comments he made about women in 2005, and also “how he has treated women since then on this campaign.”

“So, does Juanita Broaddrick have a right to be believed?” Breitbart News questioned.

“So that, uh, she said there’s a lot tonight that’s not right,” Palmieri stated, suggesting Clinton denies Trump’s statements during the debate about several women who claim to have been sexual assaulted and intimidated by both Bill and Hillary Clinton.

“So Juanita Braoddrick should not be believed?” Breitbart News questioned again.

“That’s something that was addressed a long time ago. What’s at issue now is a week ago and again on the stage tonight he continued to attack Alicia Machado,” Palmieri responded, comparing an allegation of sexual assault to being called “Miss Piggy.”

Palmieri continued:

He continues to refuse to take ownership for what he said about women 11 years ago. He blames other people for it. He says that it’s locker room banter. He has in the course of this campaign — it’s not just limited to women — and that is why this is an issue in the campaign, a legitimate issue in the campaign.

“It’s because he continues to make divisive comments, not just about women, about Muslims, obviously calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals,” she added. “It’s what he’s built his campaign around and that’s why it’s an issue for us this campaign.”
