Katherine Webb, the former Miss Alabama and Auburn alum who is also the girlfriend of star Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, indicated she will be cheering for Alabama in what will be her first Iron Bowl.
“I’m not nervous about the fans,” Webb told USA Today. “Of course I want to see AJ have that fourth championship ring, so I really want them to do well. That’s what I’m nervous about. I’m not nervous about his talent or abilities as a player. Of course, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about the outcome.”
Webb says she never attended the Iron Bowl as a student because she sold her ticket since she was often short on cash as a college student.
“I didn’t get to go to the Iron Bowl whenever I was in school because I ended up having to sell my student ticket because I was running low on cash,” she said.
