Roger Ailes’ “Orchestra Pit Theory” applies to Twitter as well.
A Twitter account, @SochiProblems, that documents the myriad of problems journalists and fans are having at the Sochi Games has nearly 100,000 more followers than the official–and verified–@Sochi2014 Twitter account. The @SochiProblems account, as of Friday night, had around 287,000 followers while the official @Sochi2014 account had around 187,000 followers.
Here are some tweets from the official Twitter account for the Games.
