Tom Brady’s long-linked rival Peyton Manning won’t go there.
“He’s my friend, he’ll always be my friend,” the Denver Broncos quarterback explained to reporters at the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. “I don’t know what happened, I don’t have much more than that for you.”
The Wells Report concluded earlier this week issued a “more probable than not” verdict that a Patriots staff member intentionally deflated balls before the AFC Championship Game and dubbed Brady’s knowledge “more probable than not.”
While Manning stays mum, plenty of other players in the league offer their takes:
No football in the world is going to help you win by 38! Let it go and let Tom be great! On to the 2015 season #7tormsComing

We all were “generally aware” that the Patriots push the rules. We also knew it was “more probable than not” that they cheat. No news here! — Ryan Clark (@Realrclark25) May 6, 2015
Honestly I don’t know that deflating balls makes a difference at all…. patriots are seriously a great football team and Tom probably is
