WASHINGTON (AP) — Investigators are blaming two IRS workers at a computer center in West Virginia for erasing thousands of emails related to the tax agency’s tea party scandal, impeding congressional investigations into the treatment of conservative political groups.

Obama apologists have recently been trotted out en masse to absurdly portray the Obama presidency as an entirely scandal-free citadel of piety. It is, they assure us, the political equivalent of the Vestal Virgins who guard the sacred flame. As Obama, himself, has insisted, there is not a “scintilla of scandal” to be seen.
Let’s have another slow clap of appreciation for the Obama Administration’s slow-walking scandal control protocols.

In the blizzard of Obama administration scandals, don’t forget the IRS-Lois Lerner saga. That scandal is back in the news because some Lerner emails that were reported “lost” have been recovered, and the Treasury Inspector General seems to think they’re important.
The Obama administration, which lauds itself as “the most transparent administration in the modern era,” has refused to release over 500 IRS Tea Party targeting documents.
