A tweet from McDonald’s official corporate Twitter account called President Trump “disgusting” before it was deleted and the incident was blamed on a “compromised” account early Thursday.
“You are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have @BarackObama back,” the tweet from the official @McDonaldsCorp account read, tagging President Trump. “Also you have tiny hands.”
The tweet was quickly deleted, however, it can still be seen via archive.
In a statement, McDonald’s claimed that their account had been “compromised,” adding that they were now investigating the incident.
Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.

UPDATE – In an emailed statement, McDonald’s claim that the tweet was the result of a hack.
“Based on our investigation, we have determined that our Twitter account was hacked by an external source,” they claimed to Breitbart Tech. “We took swift action to secure it, and we apologize this tweet was sent through our corporate McDonald’s account.”
