'Go Home Yankee!': US Navy Sailors Attacked, Chased by Turkey Ultra-Nationalists

This week in Istanbul, a group of activists from ultra-right Youth Union of Turkey (TGB) attacked visiting sailors from a US warship docked after a NATO drill in the Black Sea.

The sailers were walking through a central district of the city when they were surrounded and attacked as the crowd shouted  “Yankee, go home!” and “Damn America!”

At one point a man is heard saying “You declared that you are a member of the US military. Because we define you as murderers, as killers, we want you to get out of our land,” as the crowd surrounds  the sailors and attempt to put plastic bags over their heads.
