Former Ohio State Heisman QB Troy Smith Tells Officers He Graduated ‘With a Degree in Bachelors’ During Drunk Driving Arrest

Former Ohio State Buckeye quarterback Troy Smith was arrested  during a traffic stop early Sunday morning, and TMZ Sports has the dashcam video.

The 2006 Heisman winner introduced himself to the police officer by saying, “I’m officer, sir. I’m officer.”

Things did not get better for Smith when he told the officer that he “graduated from Ohio State with a degree in bachelors.”

He also struggled citing the alphabet from C to W, giving up after I.

Although the former quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers claimed he had not been drinking, his blood alcohol content was measured at .143, well over the legal limit of .08. Police also found a glass jar with two “rolled cigars containing marijuana,” per the TMZ report.

He was arrested for possession of marijuana, operating vehicle while impaired and failure to display a front license plate.
