On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” American Urban Radio Networks White House Correspondent and Washington Bureau Chief April Ryan told host Chris Matthews to “Be careful” with a gun analogy.
After Matthews said that Senator Elizabeth Warren is “pistol-popping” and “knows how to shoot, and she shoots right from the gut.” Ryan stated, “Be careful with that analogy. Right now.” After Matthews asked why, she replied, “Guns.” Matthews then told Ryan he “didn’t mean that.” She responded, “You’re all right. Go ahead.”
Matthews then thought of a better metaphor before saying, “Boy, she can pack a punch.”
