Harris on 2020 Run: ‘If I Can Be More Relevant in the Future Then I’m Going to Want to Be That’

This week on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) hinted at a potential 2020 presidential run.

When asked if she wants to be president, Harris said, “Let me tell you what I want to be. I want to be relevant. I want to have impact. I want to lift people up. I want to be a voice for those who do not have a voice at the table. That is what I want to be every day. So right now I am focused on the tasks right in front of me. If I can be more relevant in the future, then I’m going to want to be that.”
