Knife-Wielding Suspect Meets Gun-Toting Citizen, Gets Hospitalized

On Sunday a knife-wielding robbery suspect cornered a gun-toting citizen and was subsequently shot in the leg and transported to hospital.

The incident occurred in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, around 11:30 a.m.

According to NBC 10, police said the suspect “threatened the man” although the man kept warning him that he had a gun.  At some point the during the back and forth between the two individuals, the suspect closed in on the man, who then drew his gun and opened fire.

The suspect was shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital, treated, and released. Police have not identified the suspect nor have listed the charges that he could face.

The armed citizen has a concealed carry permit.
