New Obama Jobs Program: Pay Anti-Romney Protesters

President Obama’s latest job-creation gimmick is a self-serving one: Obama allies are reportedly paying protesters to stake out Mitt Romney’s rallies. Two Michigan protesters said that they were getting paid to do that arduous work. They’re clearly not unionized – one protester claimed she was getting paid $7.25 per hour, while another man said he was being paid $17 per hour. These same professional protesters had appeared at another Romney rally that same day. Their story was confirmed by an Obama campaign official, but disassociated his own group from those protesters.

This is nothing new. Back in May, John Nolte reported that the Washington Post had spotted Occupy types protesting Romney – and being organized by the Obama campaign to do so. And, of course, the Occupy movement was largely sponsored by the major unions, who all back Obama.

Even as Obama’s friends pay protesters to astroturf opposition to Mitt Romney, the press continues to hound the Romney campaign about Romney supporters heckling Obama at campaign stops. There is no evidence to suggest that Romney’s camp is paying those hecklers.

The good news: with the rising unemployment rate, we can still get a job with the Obama campaign. The bad news: if Obama is re-elected, we may have no choice other than to stand outside rallies protesting Obama’s political opponents for cash.
