Interior Department Official Investigated Over Possible Corruption

The Obama Administration Interior Department has famously attempted to shut down vast swaths of federal lands to oil drilling. Their corruption is well known. Nonetheless, the latest scandal from the Interior Department is particularly worthy of note.

Over the weekend, Interior Department Assistant Secretary for Insular Affairs was placed on administrative leave while an investigation into her activities takes place. Apparently, Tony Babauta has been allegedly gaming the travel and grant system under the Interior Department’s control. There are few details available, but suffice it to say that the Interior Department’s corruption is rife. As Michelle Malkin puts it: “The fish rots from the head down. And boy, are things smelling extra-pungent at the U.S. Interior Department.”
