Police on Hunt for Suspicious Man from Marathon

Law enforcement officials are searching for a man who reportedly acted suspicious before two bombs went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday.

According to WABC Boston, authorities said that five minutes before the first explosion, a “darker-skinned or black male” tried to enter a restricted area but was deterred.

Authorities say the potential suspect was wearing a black backpack and black hooded sweatshirt and may be a foreign national based on his accent. After he was turned away, the individual reportedly “broke eye contact and pulled his sweatshirt hood over his head and left.”

Law enforcement officials are also on the lookout for a “yellow Penske box truck that tried to gain access with ‘medical supplies’ approximately 1 hour after the explosion.”

Federal law enforcement sources also have indicated that at least two undetonated explosive devices were found near the finish line. The bombs that did go off reportedly killed three and injured at least 144 people.
