Teaser for Oscar-Winner's Investigative Obama Doc, '2016'

This is merely a teaser trailer for the upcoming feature-length documentary “2016,” and tease it does. Unless you’re familiar with the source material, Dinesh D’Souza’s “The Roots of Obama’s Rage,” you wouldn’t know that you’re in for the kind of vetting into Obama’s past the media has spent four years covering up.

What I find most interesting about the trailer is the sound of Obama’s own voice. Obviously, the producers got the rights to use Obama’s audio book of his auto-biography, which is a genius and potentially devastating move. The film’s tagline is also effective: Love Him, Hate Him; You Don’t Know Him…

The producer of the film is a bona fide Best Picture Oscar-Winner, Gerald R. Molen, who’s worked on blockbusters such as “Schindler’s List” and “Jurassic Park” with Steven Spielberg. For this production, Molen’s teamed up with D’Souza to tell the story the media won’t and to do it using the most powerful medium available, the motion picture.

“The Roots of Obama’s Rage” was released in 2010, and while it was the only thorough, scholarly, and investigative look into the background of our current president (that I’m aware of), as expected, the media all but ignored the publication.

In contrast, over the course of this year, you’re going to see the media give all kinds of love to media-approved biographer, David Maraniss, who’s written a new biography about Barack Obama.

Not surprisingly, though, this is only the first part of the biography and it conveniently ends before Obama aligns himself with radicals such as Derrick Bell, Bill Ayers, and Jeremiah Wright — which is how Maraniss remains media-approved.
