Morgan Freeman: Voter Fraud Fighters Want to 'Disenfranchise' Minorities

Actor Morgan Freeman isn’t just an apologist for President Barack Obama. He’s also willing to suppress efforts to battle voter fraud by playing the race card.

The Oscar winner, who earlier this week told interviewer Tavis Smiley that the GOP “scares” him, said Wednesday night efforts to battle voter fraud are all about disenfranchising minority voters.

FREEMAN: … But my point is that women, Hispanics, blacks, there is a large attempt, a great attempt, at disenfranchisement. I mean, it’s right out in the open. I’m not, you know, this isn’t like breaking news or anything. Why is that?

SMILEY: Well, they would argue voter fraud.

FREEMAN: Yeah, but of all the people who are talking against that asked for proof, and how much has been arrived?

SMILEY: Precious little.

FREEMAN: Precious little.

Well, it’s hard to argue with Freeman’s airtight evidence or Smiley’s rigorous line of questioning. Somewhere Larry King is muttering the word, “softballs” under his breath.
