Audience Cheers Candace Cameron Bure for Honoring Jesus on 'DWTS'

Candace Cameron Bure isn’t shy about sharing her faith with the world.

The former Full House star, currently competing on Dancing with the Stars, did just that earlier this week. An insider on the show’s set reported the studio audience cheered her on Monday when she spoke about the impact God has on her life.

I’m a Christian. My life revolves around my relationship with Jesus Christ,” Bure, 37, said before dancing the rumba with partner Mark Ballas. “So with the overall tone of the dance and the costumes I’m not going to take a backseat. My voice will definitely be heard.”

When Bure mentioned her faith, “the entire crowd in the ballroom cheered and clapped really loudly,” an onlooker told Us Weekly. She also had several family members attending the live show.

Bure recently was mocked for saying she took a “submissive” role in her marriage. She later clarified the comment:

In the biblical sense, submitting to my husband just means allowing my husband to lead his family because he loves our family and [is] making the best decisions for our family that he can,” she explained further. Her so-called “submission,” she said, is really just a choice “to respect those decisions and to encourage him to be the best man and father that he can possibly be to our family.
