'LONG LIVE HITLER' Tweeted by Malaysian Politician Bung Mokhtar Radin After Germany Win

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia, July 9 (UPI) — A Malaysian politician took to Twitter after Germany’s 7-1 win over Brazil in the World Cup semifinal, but instead of offering up his praise to a scorer on the winning squad, he chose to go with Adolf Hitler.

Bung Mokhtar Radin, a Malaysian Parliament member, refused to apologize for the Hitler-hailing tweet.

He maintains that the tweet was just for fun and that people need to loosen up.
