Liberal Congressman Turns on Obama, Compares IRS Scandal to Nixon Tapes

In appearance on Memphis, TN CBS affiliate WREG on Monday, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) was asked to weigh in on the IRS scandal and missing Lois Lerner emails, which prompted the Tennessee Democrat to compare the IRS claims to the missing 18 minutes of the Nixon tapes.

Cohen said the IRS was beginning to look a little “Rose Mary Woods” referring to Richard Nixon’s secretary who took responsibility in grand jury testimony for accidentally erasing five minutes of the 18-minute gap in the  June 20, 1972, audio tape.
