“Very interesting thing happened the other day, Sen. Rand Paul, Republican from Kentucky appeared on MSNBC -- obviously a network that doesn't have any use for him. But he will not appear on the factor. And I wanted to know why you think that is. It’s speculation, but it's interesting speculation.
O’Reilly’s guest, Bernie Goldberg, hypothesized that Paul was targeting a left-of-center audience to better his chances as a presidential candidate and an appearance on O’Reilly’s show might taint that effort.
O’Reilly, however, speculated he was dodging potential questions about foreign policy.
“He doesn't want to answer the foreign policy stuff,” O’Reilly said. “I think that's what it is. I could be wrong. The chair is waiting for him.”
